luks: the top level python module changed names.
0:03 AM
luks
yep
0:03 AM
ruaok
but the api contained therein sounds like the same.
0:03 AM
luks
from PyLucene to lucene
0:03 AM
ruaok nods
0:03 AM
I think there are some differences in the API
0:04 AM
ruaok
I fear that my dev box is too old to run jcc
0:04 AM
luks
but maybe nothing that the current indexer would use
0:04 AM
ruaok
0:04 AM
some minor things are listed.
0:05 AM
I'll see if I can install this on my dev box. I am not real keen on having to update my dev box for this.

0:05 AM
Disposable VMs! :D
0:05 AM
ruaok
heh. I may just go home and do just that. ;-)
0:06 AM
Muzzz goes to rustle up his hdd with his disposable VMs on, remembering her brought it home with him today

0:07 AM
Ah, new place ruaok?
0:07 AM
ruaok
yep!
0:07 AM
Muzzz
Always fun :)
0:07 AM
ruaok
my own place. no more roomies!
0:07 AM
too much work moving, but this is worth it.
0:07 AM
Muzzz is still having trouble wrestling with "his" utility bills
0:08 AM
Muzzz
I've been here for half a year now, too. So good luck. I hear that phone stuffs aren't as big a pain in the arse as they are here, given you have a choice
0:08 AM
ruaok
my place is all electric, which kinda sucks.
0:08 AM
but the upshot is that I only have two bills: dsl and power
0:09 AM
Muzzz
No water? :o
0:09 AM
ruaok
and the rent is reasonable
0:09 AM
no water, no trash, no gas.
0:09 AM
Muzzz
Wow
0:09 AM
ruaok
common to not pay water/trash in apts in the US.
0:09 AM
Muzzz
Shows how uncivilised we are over here :P
0:10 AM
That said though, there are no trash bills, so to speak, just extortionate amounts of council tax
0:10 AM
ruaok
0:10 AM
Muzzz still does not have a key to the appartment trash shed, so has to haul bags down the road to the public dumping place
0:10 AM
the creek runs through the back yard.
0:10 AM
yllona
ruaok: there trash fee in on the DWP bill here. I don't pay water, but i do pay trash.
0:10 AM
Muzzz
Woah, nice!
0:11 AM
ruaok waves at yllona

ruaok
and I am two blocks away from the heart of downtown.
0:11 AM
yllona
hey ruaok, have your toes webbed yet?
0:11 AM
DisTance
hey, what format do you guys use for patch submissions?
0:11 AM
ruaok
dozens of restaurants, pubs in walking distance
0:11 AM
Muzzz
Shouldn't be too hard to stumble home on a Friday night then
0:11 AM
ruaok
yllona: prety damn close :)
0:11 AM
Muzzz: ding!
0:12 AM
DisTance: patch -Naur is my favorite
0:12 AM
or just svn diff :)
0:12 AM
yllona: it stopped raining for the most part today
0:12 AM
yllona
yeah, we had severe flooding, about 1 mile NE of here
0:13 AM
ruaok: we had tornado warnings last night (no shit)
0:13 AM
DisTance
argh! is there a subversion repository? ive been dealing with this crazy bzr thing
0:13 AM
luks
DisTance: picard?
0:13 AM
Muzzz
svn > bzr
0:13 AM
luks
then "bzr ci && bzr send"
0:13 AM
Muzzz never quite got the hang of bzr :/
0:13 AM
DisTance
luks: yes
0:14 AM
luks
Muzzz: you must have never done a non-trivial merge in svn then
0:14 AM
ruaok still hasn't gotten the hang of merges in svn
0:14 AM
Muzzz
luks: I've done my fair share of svn wrestling, but nothing /too/ in-depth. That said, the last.fm svn repos aren't the tidiest of things
0:15 AM
Talk about being thrown into the deep end when I first used it :)
0:15 AM
luks
just the fact that you don't have to manually lookup what have you merged before is a big step forward :)
0:15 AM
or set a tag, like in CVS
0:16 AM
yllona
ruaok: so you've moved closer to downtown SLO?
0:16 AM
Muzzz
Having SVN commits piped to an IRC channel helps
0:16 AM
ruaok
yllona: yep! just a few blocks away from all the action
0:16 AM
Muzzz
Just check the dev channel backlog if I've lost track of it from my terminal backlog/middle click
0:16 AM
DisTance
luks: should i be specifying an email address? or do i just do something like 'bzr send -o patch.txt'
0:16 AM
ruaok
cheap place, nice and quiet. few neighbors on my nutz
0:17 AM
luks
DisTance: -o is fine
0:17 AM
yllona
ruaok: sounds great :)
0:17 AM
luks
and then ideally attach the file to a ticket on
bugs.mb.org

and it also shouldn't ignore the error silently

okie dokie; changes made. should i just attach it bug report again?
0:35 AM

yes please
0:36 AM
DisTance
done, let me know if thats a little better :)
0:38 AM

just one small change, please keep the global try/finally block

there might be other errors and if some exception would be raised, it would stop all next directory reads

I just noticed that album titles containing parentheses don't seem to be correctly transferred to Picard. Stumbled across this with Billy Joel's "Greatest Hits, Volume I & Volume II (disc 1: 1973-1977)" which show up in Picard and is tagged as "Greatest Hits, Volume I & Volume II".
