tell me im crazy: i was looking at match_files() in album.py

and i noticed this:

matched[file] = track

why is there a break in the first conditional?

wont that stop all the match processing if theres a single file that doesnt meet the threshold?

because the matches are sorted by similarity, and if we find one that is lower than the threshold, there is no point in checking the other ones

how more intelligently could it handle such situations?

really just the simpler question: whats the right way to handle duplicates?

because im with nikki: you should be able to have multiple matches for the same track on the same album

you will still get (1) (2) filenames

and then use the existing "append digits until the filename is unique" strategy to resolve collisions

I think this is so rare case, that I decided to ignore it when I was writing that code

you can have duplicate songs, but how often do you have duplicate tracks from the same release?

that happens all the time for me, because i grab huge swathes of music from my friends

and a lot of the time we have significant overlap
