I'm trying to create an inline apply tag component.

but the form element starts a new block -- is there any way to get the form to continue on the first line?

Try puting a div around the tags, and set it to float:left, and then set the form to float:right

I don't think there is a way to get the form inline without using floats

now I have the problem of wanting to apply a tag, but not having the users password/session.

so I can't call the WS.

I have to do it using mason components.

so, do I:

- create a hidden iframe that ignores the results of another loaded page that loads the tags? (ick?)

- reload the whole page

- something way more clever that I dont see

well, make a mason script like htdocs/show/tag/rawtags.html but instead submits tags and returns the new accumulated tags as json

now you make that form submit a json to the new script, and replace the tags with what the script returned you

that's more JS work than mason/html/etc. work though

its better than the mason/html solution since it updates the aggregate tags

it would be less work if the script actually returned marked up HTML, rather than JSON...

that way the JS script has less to do.
