[Server Notice] Hi folks! The server you are on (kubrick) will be going down for around one hour for maintenance on Monday 13th April at 1400 UTC. We suggest that you connect to another server in the irc.freenode.net rotation to avoid disruption, asap. Thanks for using freenode and have a nice day!
thoughts? Click the text identifier to have it scroll just that bit into view, click it again to hide it (or click a different one to have the 1st one hide and the 2nd scroll into view)?

GOD DAMNIT. IF I TYPE "lolcalhost" one more time, I'm gonna kill someone
navap
I like that, much better than displaying the whole thing and _then_ picking which module you want.
aCiD2`
Well, I don't like the gray borders, are the gradient showing in the tab bar - but otherwise, that looks good
nikki
aCiD2: just map lolcalhost to 127.0.0.1 :P
nikki thinks lolcathost would be better though
navap
I basically skipped 99% of the discussion that took place, but I did see something being said about removing the credits module, is that happening? What was the verdict on that?
acid2 has quit
aCiD2`
heh
aCiD2` is now known as aCiD2
aCiD2
nikki: haven't made that mistake, yet >.>
I also typo "made" to "bad" a lot, and "database" to "databes"
nikki
I usually write things like screenshits or screensnots
brianfreud
navap: The credits module cannot be removed.
navap
Okay
brianfreud
It can, however, (and should) be relocated within the site itself, to a general (not just ES/js) credits page.
nikki
and I always leave 'not' out at exactly the wrong moments
aCiD2
loool, screenshits
navap
er that's actually what I meant. I was refering to it being moved elsewhere.
I think it should always show on releases though - it always annoyed me that annotations were only visible/editable in one particular release view.
nikki
that's one of the reasons I use the annotation bar in the release which everyone hates :P when converting annotations to relationships, I can edit the annotation straight from the relationships page instead of having to load the album again
brianfreud
I use it too, when it's functional :P
it's among the buggiest bars on the live server though :P
aCiD2
i do not know of this bar
brianfreud
acid2: user prefs, Show the add/edit annotation links in the release header.
aCiD2
oh, brilliant
I've apparently got university work due in tomorrow
that I have no clue about
nikki
brianfreud: oh? in what way?
nikki hasn't noticed anything, but she doesn't edit annotations that often
brianfreud
nikki: the links are broken when you access them from the voting page
or at least, they were last I tried it
nikki
oh, I never use them from the voting page
aCiD2
time to plop into bed
nn!

aCiD2 / pronik / ruaok / CatCat / nikki / etc - I have an idea as to a *totally* different UI for the ES, if we want to get completely away from the old "separate blue/purple box" concept. I am going to be out of town tomorrow through Sunday, but when I get back, I will try to get either an implementation, or at least a mockup, done by next Mon's meeting, for your review.

brianfreud: why can't the credits page be removed?
there is AUTHORS file in the source tree for programming credits
MightyJay joined the channel
pronik
brianfreud: sound good, bring it on! :)
ruaok
brianfreud: mockup is a better idea -- less work. but I'm looking forward to it.
luks: ++
luks
is ++ in some kind of new language? :P
ruaok
its a +1 on what <user> said. :)
brianfreud
luks: We need a credits page somewhere, not just hidden in the source
luks
brianfreud: why?
ruaok
brianfreud: wikidocs!
brianfreud
ruaok: yes, pretty much what acid2 and I talked about earlier :)
ruaok
I think giving credit should be done in a more visible place than AUTHORS.
brianfreud
I agree

luks
well, but where is the limit? we use apache, linux, postgresql, perl, catalyst, TT, memcache, ...
ruaok
outsidecontext: moin!
luks
are those less important than some jquery plugin?
ruaok
luks: I think wikidocs authors should pertain to only people who belong in AUTHORS.
not the dependencies.
outsidecontext
moin
luks
I agree, but that's not what the ES credits page is about
