fair enough. Just felt I should mention it because it's more common practice and according to other standards

luks: I'm stuck on how to represent the recording.name vs track.name.
2009-08-11 22336, 2009
ruaok
in most of the usual cases, they are the same and the recording.name is used. when the credited name is different track.name contains the different name?
what about the case where rec.name != track.name ?
2009-08-11 22345, 2009
luks
so you have <track><title>King of the Mountains in Candyland</title><recording id="54b9d183-7dab-42ba-94a3-7388a66604b8"><title>King of the Mountain</title>

probably not, we should include it by default
2009-08-11 22325, 2009
luks
or just the recording id

most of the time it won't give much useful info paste the ID, right?
2009-08-11 22314, 2009
luks
yeah, most of the time rec.name==track.name and rec.artist_credit=track.artist_credit
2009-08-11 22333, 2009
ruaok
then I'm for the id only by default.
2009-08-11 22338, 2009
luks
so we can omit the info and just return <recording id="..." />
