looks, yes it's a disc ID. beyond that I know nothing
teleGUISE
well i added my standard request to that release for you ;)
as well as a date & country request
mudcrow
india :p
i never look at those reports nikki, so i have no opinion
MartinRudat
nikki: no? it sounds like a good idea to me...
teleGUISE
yea anything withs lots "kar" and "raj"'s has to be india ;)-
we shouldnt have many superfluous data tracks anymore with the new release entry system ;) ... freedb should be a thing of the past, right
nikki_
nope
nikki_ uses freedb all the time for adding albums
teleGUISE
actually if more people even knew about the parser and ability to c&p freedb and elsewhere, i think we wouldnt have so many
nikki_
you're forgetting all the people who don't realise that we shouldn't add data tracks.
nikki_ finds freedb easier than having to clean up stuff for the track parser and faff about with all its options too
I always have the wrong options set for it :/
teleGUISE
you must get lucky cuz 1/2 the crap i even c&p from freedb needs to be typo corrected anyway .. and there isnt really any option that needs setting for freedb parsing other than detect track times
ngw joined the channel
nikki_
well, typos will be there if you import from freedb or copy and paste and track parse it
teleGUISE
oh and all tracknames start with a number but i think that's default
nikki_
yes, but I'm always having to change the options
I suppose I should enter bugs for it or something
Nyght joined the channel
teleGUISE
maybe cuz you parse different language stuff? rarely do i never need to change it.. unless i c&p vinyl info and then just tick that box
nikki_
no
I mean sometimes I don't have track numbers
sometimes I don't have track times
sometimes the album title isn't included
and if I don't tick the right boxes, it just doesn't do *anything*
teleGUISE
well i gues sif you are using various sources.. freedb always has track #'s i also parse discogs & a* g which all have track numbers so i guess thats why i never have that issue
nikki_
and I never try copying from freedb.org, why would I do that when I have a perfectly usable import function?
and yes, I usually add obscure releases that discogs doesn't have
teleGUISE
cuz if it has a data track its better then entering it and then making a data track removal
nikki_
and amg is too slow to be usable
why?
oh no! I entered a mod! *gasp*
teleGUISE
yes and i absolutely hate that pop up image crap when you rolover
nikki_
three people will have to vote yes!
teleGUISE
cuz your clogging up the system and requiring us hard working people to vote on silly things you can avoid ;)
nikki_
clogging up with *one* mod? hardly
it's not like you have to research whether to vote yes on a [data track] removal by an automod...
teleGUISE
especially an angelic automod
mudcrow
I always use import for data from freedb. I find it much quicker then parsing it
teleGUISE
guess it all depends on what your working with... i don't trust there track times so i hate using it if i know elsewhere will have the same stuf.. to me c&p is a piece of cake
hmm caillon might be asian... they've entered a couple Signapore edition CD's
sing signa all the same
mudcrow
parsing VA stuff from other sources is a nightmare, the paser never recognises whatever is used to splite artist and tracks, so i end up spending ages mucking about pasting each line
juhae
Exactly :|
teleGUISE
yes it doesnt work well (at all) with VA..
nikki_
I usually end up with a page which makes everything be on its own line, so I have to spend ages putting everything onto the same line
Nygh1 has quit

teleGUISE
ok now discogs took a dump.. any search comes back with a page generated error
their search always craps out
juhae
Their search is always broken
mudcrow
but nothing can compare to the nightmare previously known as Bollywood soundtracks, but now refered to as total crap
juhae
hehe, great minds think alike

dmp_panda: Yea its $11.95 you want me to have 1 sent to you :P
dmp_panda: Back when they were putting the finishing touches on this towering edifice of "Cool", Impulse! Records was providing the sound that held it all together at the heart. Here are some inspired jazz performances by John Coltrone, Charles Mingu(E)s, Duke Ellington and Sonny Rollins .. thats about it ;)

there is an option for renaming files after tagging them.. it works ok, but i want it to create new subdirectories with files, ive got naming set to '\%albumartist\%album\%0num. %track' but it doesnt create subdirectories :/
hedin
Freso: right... is there a way to use tunepimp with .net? some information on web?
Freso
hedin: I don't know. I haven't had any need for .Net. I've managed to keep up with fish, [ba]sh, Python, PHP, and a wee bit o' Perl up 'til now. :)
nikki_
inhouseuk: did you have a list of number of albums with a particular language?
