the narrator did perform the track; they didn't compose it

hrm. spend quite some time to install picard and all its requirements. only to find out that it's still very unstable :-(
2006-09-03 24645, 2006
_thom_
yeah, I spent a buttload of time to get all the tk stuff going on my mac, and it didn't work. so I ended up using my intel Mac with Parallels and shared folders to tag most of my music that way.
2006-09-03 24631, 2006
loom
i fixed a problem in the libofa code, then made libtunepimp find libofa via pkgconfig, and finally recompiled wxgtk/wxpython :-)

_thom_: ieatbrainz sucks?
2006-09-03 24642, 2006

_thom_: so which program did you use in the end?
2006-09-03 24623, 2006

2006-09-03 24651, 2006

2006-09-03 24604, 2006
warp

2006-09-03 24605, 2006
loom
so which tagger do you use? :-)
2006-09-03 24626, 2006
loom
i don't think so. you were there with avoozl.
2006-09-03 24618, 2006
warp
oh, yes, that would be me.
2006-09-03 24639, 2006
warp
i use an old picard on linux at home, or on windows at work
2006-09-03 24650, 2006
warp
i haven't tried to get picard on my macbook yet.
2006-09-03 24646, 2006
warp
occasionally i do some fixing up afterward with 'audio tag tool' on linux, but it doesn't like UTF-8. so for asian stuff, i don't bother.
2006-09-03 24625, 2006
loom
hm, maybe i should give picard another try.
2006-09-03 24648, 2006
warp
what platform?
2006-09-03 24657, 2006

also, there does not seem to be a more stable alternative.

2006-09-03 24653, 2006
loom
yes. but that's fine.
2006-09-03 24612, 2006
warp
anyway, that shouldn't be _too_ hard.
2006-09-03 24644, 2006
loom
a bigger problem is making sure that the system is consistent all the time, as when you replace core libraries or change the compiler.
2006-09-03 24652, 2006
warp
ah
2006-09-03 24617, 2006

2006-09-03 24655, 2006

getting picard to run on gentoo is quite easy
2006-09-03 24601, 2006
loom
it does run. but there are hangs, and python error statements.
I still have gdb open if you want any additional information.
2006-09-03 24633, 2006
luks
it reads invalid frame, so there is no file->tags[0]
