hrm. spend quite some time to install picard and all its requirements. only to find out that it's still very unstable :-(

yeah, I spent a buttload of time to get all the tk stuff going on my mac, and it didn't work. so I ended up using my intel Mac with Parallels and shared folders to tag most of my music that way.

i fixed a problem in the libofa code, then made libtunepimp find libofa via pkgconfig, and finally recompiled wxgtk/wxpython :-)

i use an old picard on linux at home, or on windows at work

i haven't tried to get picard on my macbook yet.

occasionally i do some fixing up afterward with 'audio tag tool' on linux, but it doesn't like UTF-8. so for asian stuff, i don't bother.

anyway, that shouldn't be _too_ hard.

a bigger problem is making sure that the system is consistent all the time, as when you replace core libraries or change the compiler.

getting picard to run on gentoo is quite easy

it does run. but there are hangs, and python error statements.

why would the album panel have a negative width?

on startup, it becomes -340 on one occasion, causing a type error in a wx function.

That bug has been there for ages.
