in the tagger program, what does it mean when the song duration for both the file and the database entry are both "???"

i think that means that the Tagger already looked it up in a different session...

saved something in the MP3 indicating the correct place in MB, or that it was right

it means that the CD in the database has no track times...

and hasnt looked up the times, to save computing time

the people I heard talking about it were quite pleased

they liked it, IIRC

yalaforge: i recommended musicbrainz to someone as a way to tag files, but it turned out he was using mac, and i have NO clue about that tagger :)

could trm's be calculated from any format? wma, ogg, mpc, flac? (obviously not in the muusicbrainz software, but for other sofware)?

if you can get the audio from it, I don't see why you couldn't make a TRM from it.

that reminds, i should finish the application letter for a perl job.

I wrote a script which would spit out the url to look up a CD based on the toc/disc ID/number of tracks, 'cause I often import the original titles for an album which is in the db transliterated and with a disc ID but I don't always have the CD myself

and I checked the input too

so it gives an error if I put garbage in. :D

i don't fully comprehend what the script does
