        I do seem to notice responsiveness when editing being very variable; are there some badly-behaved apps/sites/... sending fairly large bursts of requests? just seems odd to have snappy responsiveness for 45 seconds and then 5 minutes of crawling if it's consistently heavy load

        The interesting thing (to me) is that you won't be able to ask the ws for genres. You'll ask for tags, compare to the list, and figure it out for yourself. IIUC.

        Now that I have some people here anyway: on the Belgica soundtrack (http://musicbrainz.org/release/f69100b9-214d-495d…) Soulwax appear as 15 fictitious bands (from the film). Currently I have those bands as ACs for Soulwax - would the preference be to create actual artist entries for these instead?
