I'm seeing a lag between getting the time when I get an email notification ("Note added to edit ###") and when the edit note actually appears on the edit.

Does that happen a lot?

It's been fairly laggy for me too

There must be some delay between when the notification is sent out and when your e-mail client receives it
2016-10-01 27549, 2016

That's what I've always chalked it up to be

Oh. I'm seeing the delay in the other direction. I get the email notification, but I can't see the edit note that I'm being notified about.
I noticed he had it set as his quit message and one day spammed a YouTube video of cows mooing. It escalated from there.

CallerNo6: The notification is indeed sent first (you can also see that in the popular bug where adding an edit note fails repeatedly, but someone is notified about a new edit note – repeatedly).

The others (all today) have been much less, but noticeable. Maybe five minutes.

I had a deleted artist in my edits for subscriptions email, and I have no memory of that particular artist. I assume I created it as part of a compilation or something, but I'd like to find out. The search interface doesn't seem to support searching on the entity ID or string for artists, which is all I have since it's deleted. Is there any way I can search for edits involving the deleted artist?

I don't know if it works for deleted artists, but normally you'd search for [Artist][is][mbid] on the edit search page.

one workaround that doesn't work right now is to see if the entity is still in one of the sandboxes at http://mbsandbox.org/

I assume the mbsandboxes will be live again after the servers move to europe later this year.
