Freso: Could I ask you for your email? I'm looking at putting together a MusicBrainz + Picard workshop for two events, one next weekend and then a conference in May. Was hoping to get blessing or approval from someone once I get my outline prepped and begin piecing it together.

But you have my/our blessing to do so. If you want more input, it'd probably be better to post about it on the forums: https://community.metabrainz.org/
Freso: Oh, sweet! Didn't know that existed. Will definitely do so.

It's not really linked to from anywhere, so if you don't already know it exists, you're unlikely to find it on your own.

Freso: I'm trying to create an account, but I get a pop-up asking me to log in with my username and password, but neither the wiki credentials I'm trying to use nor my MB account works.

Then the HTTP Auth box should tell you exactly what to do.

https://wiki.musicbrainz.org is requesting your username and password. The site says: “Please log in using username and password 'NOTSPAM'”

So use username "NOTSPAM" and password "NOTSPAM". :)

I had read thinking it was appended for some reason, not that it was the actual username and password :P

Let's be honest. The best anti-spam measure is to make it impossible for *anybody* to log in.
So maybe it isn't changeable from the web interface and may need source alterations?

Ah, I *do* see where to edit system messages. that could get silly.

So (if anybody but me cares), then you find out what system messages are used in the page you want to edit. All I need to do is change userlogin-helplink2 and I'm good to go.
