the added bibsys entry from the first link was wrong, it had an extra x in front. that cluster has been deleted.

VIAF shuffling around identifiers is sadly common

Yeah. I mean, I was curious how it looks "in the wild" :)

alexrelis[m], elomatreb[m], kepstin: one thing I have noticed with the Picard config file is that there seems to be some kind of caching, maybe by GNOME or something? I have two config files (I tag FLACs for me, and MP3s for the car to a different directory), but when I copy them to the live location, even while Picard is not running, the changes are ignored. So watch out for that.

loujine, I think that would require a plugin. I don't believe that the information is exposed currently.

crism: you may use --config-file command-line option, also enable debug mode (-d) and check first lines to see which config file is used

loujine: not by default

crism: I don't think that's a "caching" issue (if it is, that's the underlying file system), but perhaps Picard fails to load one config file (they are versionned)

so be sure to check log to see what's happening, it should be informative enough (in debug mode)
