If the new artwok coincides with the label merge, I would use that year at least, but could go with the merge date (maybe make a note in the annoation). Who knows precisely when the new artwork was "released".
srxl
Yeah, I don't think it does? I can't really pinpoint when the artwork changed
Cheezmo_
Perhaps a "reissue" date is listed somewhere.
Can always leave the year blank for now if you really don't know.
srxl
I'm still leaning towards using the former though, since those are the release dates Monstercat has listed on their webside (eg. https://www.monstercat.com/release/SILK001)
it is a bit strange though, since the Begin date for Monstercat is 1/7/2011

Setting recording artists for this classical music compilation is tough. The box says nothing, but Amazon has some info. The problem is that most of the performers that Amazon lists don't have an exact match in MusicBrainz.
Yeah. So should I put Rundfunk‐Sinfonieorchester Berlin, Alfred Scholz or Berlin Symphony Orchestra (which says is for use when the correct orchestra is unknown)?
reosarevok
If you're not sure, just use the unknown one
Airwave
Yeah guess so. Thanks for the help
