so I made a script that gets their info and formats it for musicbrainz

because I use it a lot as a reference when the bands' sites are dead

especially nice considering the transient nature of the scene

Rasi: moving them into the same directory (tree), I think picard only accepts directories as commandline arguments.

woot, super excited about the switch to wikidata :D

while I have no direct use for it myself, I guess it would be nicer if MB automatically resolved the wikidata IDs to wikipedia links and returned also those

and looking at the wikidata API, I can't even figure out how to resolve the IDs to wikipedia links

i'm assuming this change mostly impacts people using the webservice and database? in other words, the site will continue to show the blurb from WP etc (just based on the wikidata link)

when editing entities, would I be expected to figure out what the wikidata link is, or would I paste a WP link with the server doing the mapping?

the blog was a bit sparse on the details (seems to be aimed mostly at people who follow the devel lists etc)

hmmm, good one. "Twenty Five O'Clock" makes slightly more sense to me than "Twenty Five o'Clock"

certainly NOT O'clock :)

it's short for "of the clock" so the second one you mentioned sounds right
