One time we vote and discuss things on the tracker, now it's the wiki as well as the mailing list and the forums.

Depending on there this is headed, we might end up throwing out a guideline that has been in place for at least 10 years, which will fragment the data.

And nobody is going to "fix" stuff like "RMX" that we've been standardizing all this time.

what I was trying to do when I was thinking about it was to distinguish counterfeit releases from unauthorised recordings, because the former are generally just a way of making money for the wrong people whereas the latter are generally just releasing stuff that nobody will ever get to hear otherwise

(I suppose there's some overlap but...)
