also, the web player doesn't behave particularly well when open in multiple tabs :)

kepstin-laptop notes that the vast majority of touhou stuff won't be found in online stores/streaming sites because of people abiding by zun's request of not doing commercial releases of stuff.

What should I do about titles when creating artists? E.g., "Pipe Major Taylor", "Pipe Major James Robertson", "Pipe Major William Ross", etc.? (In particular, I'm concerned about P/M Taylor: there is no known first name to associate with him, and this is a 1925 Edison Bell recording)

ryanakca: are they real titles? e.g. Sir Elton John

CallerNo6: Well, military titles. Not indicative of rank, e.g., "General Dwight Eisenhower", since they're appointments, but they are legitimate military titles none the less.
Alright, and in the case of no given name, "Taylor,, Pipe Major" ?

That's not exactly what the guidelines say, but the guidelines are wrong.

And how should I treat groups that merge? E.g., the "Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders" merged with the "Seaforth Highlanders" to form the "Queen's Own Highlanders". There are entries under "Queen's Own Highlanders". Should new entries for Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders go under a new artist (there's no existing artist for them), or under Q.O.H., or ?

In general, it's one MB-artist per name (allowing for minor variations, which can be handled with Artist Credits).

So this probably warrants two new artists. When in doubt, it's easier to merge artists later than it is to separate them later.
