      • hawke2
I’m never sure how to treat those semi-classical tracks. Not sure if it’s just that they’re instrumental, or if the artists seem to be more in a classical vein than typical pop artists are.

hawke2: on that edit, yeah, I don't know when a performance becomes "not classical" or "not composer-centric-soundtrack" enough. But I have a pretty good sense that the composers of those works are not [unknown] :-)
      • 2014-09-09 25203, 2014

      • hawke2
Right…the composers aren’t unknown, but the question is more of what the track artist should be.
      • 2014-09-09 25218, 2014

      • hawke2
classical says composer, soundtrack says composer, but only about 4 tracks are clearly soundtrack works.
      • 2014-09-09 25215, 2014

      • hawke2
8 are more like pop covers, and the rest are fuzzy maybe-classical stuff.
      • 2014-09-09 25256, 2014

      • CallerNo6
yeah. tough call. the composers /are/ credited on the back cover. that adds a little weight to the "composer-centric" side of the scale.
      • 2014-09-09 25222, 2014

      • CallerNo6
and it's hard to argue that it's a performer-centric (recital) release if the performer isn't credited
