I would support adding "Mini-Album" as a new primary type, but not as a secondary type.

imo mini albums should be displayed in line with albums, not appart, this is why i prefer sub-type

but mini albums i know in jpn are not to be extracted out of the album timeline

ah ok so you’re still in "normal" opera, like me… the nexrt one is so different they don’t force it with the inline updater

if they’re usually “Purpose” but have a few releases as “Bam Crawford’s Purpose” then artist name “Purpose” with appropriate Artist Credits on the relevant release.

“Bam Crawford” seems wrong if he’s an actual person

(Presumably Bam Crawford would be a member of Bam Crawford’s Purpose though)

ah, but this is more than member. it's more like, "any discography of [person] should include the discography of [eponymous band]". Like with e.g. Miles Davis

though it is a reasonable point that 'eponymous' could work as an attribute of member-of

if we have an attribute indicating that a group takes its name from an artist, that would be separate from the relationship or attribute that indicates that the group's releases should be shown on the artist page.

one thing that would help here is having a real Person (as reosarevok is fond of asking for) rather than conflating artist and person
