Well, it's not that I *Have* to, to be honest.

cvs can update everything for you.

But the problem then is that I've got no idea what has changed or why.

and cvs does not look at whitespace like diff does

which makes reviewing, testing and documenting the changes much harder.

the changes were more readable on the cvs.mb.org

even "small" whitespace changes aren't /too/ bad, as long as "diff -b" can deal with them.

the trunk has no tag name IIRC. "-d trunk" means "put it in a directory called 'trunk'"

i've only ever checked out branches

You know it's the trunk because there is no "-r BRANCHNAME" option.

I haven't changed it, so no it shouldn't have.

if that's the case, i've done that today. but wasn't able to import the db until i got the latest release branch

and any href="" which does not start with a "/" is most likely wrong

never seen it called trunk before, usually associate that with svn
