i changed Heavy D and The Boyz from unknown to group last night

tonight mo automoded that

and then every Heavy D and the Boyz mod I made, he voted against it, even though he automoed a mod that called them a group

he deletes artists because they don't have albums?

thats dumb. because that isn't a prerequisit to being removed from MB

they ahd plenty of ARs

okay, what were the mods where the AR's were deleted?

who the fuck is mo to say if an artist should be in MB or not because they don't ahve an album

they would have needed to be voted on, removal even by an automod has to go to a vote

the artist couldn't have been deleted with albums or AR's and the removal of AR's would have gone to a vote

look he made an identical mod to mine

and automoded it

and then votes no to mine

within 2 minutes

it looks like he voted no because the sortname was wrong, then put in his own mod to fix it. =/

GURT: it appears the reason that artist gets deleted is because of a bug that allows it to be deleted with a pending Add AR, that shouldn't happen

about deleteing groups

so he's exploiting a bug?

it looks as if the applied mod isn't really applied yet ;)

the testing method in the server code is quite simple and complete - it checks for every table with artist, if there is at least one entry for the artist

this is not really fixable, except when we say, delete artist should _never_ be shown, it's not of much use anyway

true, as a really empty artist will get removed automatically anyway

i don't see why anyone should ever manually remove an artist and can't wait an hour

inhouseuk: it's done after the backups - it's all in one script that runs sequentially once per day, but i don't know when exactly it is started in the main server

and it looks as if the same thing would happen with such cases, it checks for pending mods though, but an automod that's still in the moderation_open table is not pending anymore otherwise the data would be shown in yellow

so it's a bit different, while it is possible to dolete artists with pending AR addition mods, this is detected by the cleanup script

so the remove artist link doesn't get disabled if the artist only has AR's !

that isn't good :(
