yeah, that's another example. But at least the changes to that go to a vote

at the moment the observant users are protecting the data, they shouldn't be relyed upon to do that, another method is needed
chocomo
i agree
I think locking is a mod that only automoderators sould be able ot vote on. but anyone could do them.and unlockign is soem thign a automod could only do
and such a mod would [stay open]
until 3 unanimous votes

yes, something like that, but I haven't thought about it in quite that much detail yet.

feel free to join in the discussion on the mailing list. It seems a few people don't understand the concept at the moment and I'm having to re-explain things several times
chocomo
hmm that intails me reading 97 digests.. :)
but
PRAEst76
mailing list digests suck
People need to use filters
chocomo

I said that AR's on albums should probably be treated similarly to discids, new ones can be added, but existing ones are protected
hi zout

some discussion here might be easier than on the mailing list
inhouseuk
maybe, but that requires me to type faster :(

I can wait ;)

go ahead

I agree that locking is a good idea
but
that doesn't prevent a lot of crap being entered
inhouseuk
that is true
zout
which, in my opinion, is much more work to fix than the occasional A-Ha -> a-ha
but if that can be prevented, that's of course good
so my question is: do anyone have a solution for the problem I mentioned/
?

were not only talking about those examples, I've also seen mods where the complete track order has been renumbered and almost went through with 0:0 votes, this is the type of damage we need to protect the data from
zout
OK
then it seems like a valuable improvement

zout: no, I can't think of a solution to that, other than forcing people to add sensible mod notes
Schika joined the channel
which will probably never happen

what about not automatically applying mods with 0:0 votes
