As I read it, if a mod fails to get a simple majority (e.g. by not getting any votes at all) it is dropped. However, I have mods that have expired without any votes which are listed as open. What's the deal?

I doubt it - Beth is far more technical than me. I just word from the premise that the database ought to be as clean as possible and if I don't have technical skills, then I do at least have grammatical ones and can correct spelling and such like.

It's good for the sake of db to have mods like that, since there are lacklusters like me who don't dare to work on anything but artists I'm 120% sure of :)
