you'll have to excuse me mixing up the terms, I've been caught in the middle of a terminology change and habits are hard to break ;)

If I became an automod, then I would expect my mods to be voted on the same as anyone elses - that is the only way to ensure that they are correct, particularly on subjective things like spelling and grammar and taking into account artist intent

anyway, having them automodded would take the fun out of sweating on the vote

hmm!

Where I would find being an automod useful, for instance, is being able to vote on an edit that I knew to be correct and being able to pass it immediately.

Joan, you and I look at voting the same way.. but, just because you're an automod doesn't mean that you are out of the light at all... you're still watched and accountable.

I agree beth, and that is as it should be. Otherwise, some bloody awful things would get through (excuse the swearing)

there's also the option to turn off the automatically accepted part temporarily (i.e. until you next log in)

Joan, I've suggested a potential auto validator.. but, that's way in the future type of thing I believe. (it's something I imagine will be tossed about for a bit of time and maybe might become reality.)

does that option affect approving edits?

and I think it was me Joan that said I would want to approve votes I know are accurate, because that way they don't have to take up others time. (that's scary too)

Wolfie. :) Mine drink out of my glass too, they think it's their water bowl, I thought it was the ice, but they don't care if I put ice in their bowl or not.. they like my water

yes - she does and if hers get to the point where she cannot drink from it, she wakes him up to go to the bathroom to refill it

Logan (the one that got clipped too early) wakes me up too.. For, anything, usually pets though

I have to leave a tap running very slowly in the bathroom so that they can drink from it. I leave bowls of water down, but both prefer running water and I am forever having to clean muddy footprints out of the basin

They're beautiful, but all cats are in my opinion.. my partiality is to the Norwegian Forest Cat

They are very like a Siamese, but it seems from the picture they have a slightly rougher coat

I love Maine Coons but they are extremely expensive over here

I understand the Maine Coon is related, though we have more NFC than MC's here in Colorado it seems.

I'm a cat and I'm perfect routine

people who think cats are not smart are not very perceptive or are dog lovers

long haired cats look really nice if you keep their fur untangled, but that's the problem, they breathe and it gets tangled up again.

Joan, I personally think a lot of animals/pets are underrated for their intelligence

Henry thinks he is aristocratic and Thomas (my best cat now departed) was sure he was a King or Emperor

just that cats are easier to keep in an apartment especially when you work long hours

yeah, cats seem to be better at picking up on my emotions than people are

most pets are a lot smarter than some people notice because they don't look for the ways animals communicate

Cleo unfortunately or fortunately as the case may be, is slightly dipsy, but ever so cute with it. In fact, maybe she is very intelligent because with that cuteness she seems to get whatever she wants

i made a point when i got Belle to "behave" like a cat to bond with her

and that was sorta the breaking point to exactly where we sold some animals/pets short.. I think it's the alien intelligence thing

i rub my face against her to "scent" her and reassure her

nikki - you are quite right. Both Thomas and Henry seemed to know when you were ill. If you were just tired and taking a nap during the day they never came near, but if you were ill and in bed, they never left your side.

wolfie - I do that with Henry and he does it back to me.

Belle is very social with people but not necessarily other animals (except her sister) and Tache is the opposite

my nan's cat will follow my nan around all day, but hates being touched too much or being picked up

and my cat at my mum's is the same

both of mine are okay w/ being touched and picked up

it's the salt they pick up from your skin

and anytime i put anything on me

she'll just go nuts and start licking off

Logan, my older one, actually joins me in the shower, which is a trick to get the hair away if he decides to stop against my leg, he's.. very sociable with his people.

the only thing wrong with Henry is that he is pure white and if you wear anything black...............

tabby isn't so bad. Thomas was ginger and white and whilst you could see the white hairs, the ginger tended to blend in
