the problem is those unclustered ones, how do I create album for these ?

use the lookup button and select the album from the web site

after selecting the tracks ?

You click "lookup" with them selected and then your browser should open up, lcoate the album and then click the green Tagger button and then drag those tracks into the newly appeared album value to the bottom partof the Picard apllicativton

there's another lookup button, confusingly enough, at the bottom of the screen

you need to cluster the files first or it will be grayed out

select the album now in clustered files

in the Album there is no approrite album for these songs

so the album must be created

were the files all from albums or were they just random files from different sources

I found that when only one song is selected, then the LookUp button come up

put the cd in to the drive and use the cd lookup button in picard. You will then need to follow the prompts to either import the album from freedb or add it manually

but why iPod shows these info coorectly ?

iPod does not use ID3 ?

you can only use picard to tag the files if the album is in the musicbrainz database

pjo: you really need to read through that document on how to tag with picard. I recommed you try it with something that is likely to be in the database and only do a little at a time until you understand it better

pjo: please don't use the information from the existing tags to put into the database. Use a more reliable source such as the cd packaging

ok but these info were obtained using iTunes and these were correct, but I will not submit those to MB db , it looks like MB is not compatible iPod

muz: if you like, but those are automatically culled, and i'd rather focus o n the puids mods

pjo: it isn't whether they are correct or not. But, musicbrainz has some fairly strict guidelines for data format
