luks i really feel bad asking you but i'm now having problems with postgres, i'm using mysql for a number of years but postgres is my very first time. I try to log in but it keeps me on an error. I downloaded phppgadmin and i create an postgres user like postgres:postgres and i cant log in. So the initdb.pl cant go forward as it can log in, is a normal newbie issue?

i guess it uses 'ident' auth method, which for some reason never worked for me
