I think it *is* relevant in this case, since Wigan isn't so well-known (at least for me it wasn't).

Say I name the bootleg "1998-05-24: Haigh Hall, Wigan, Manchester, England". What should I name the album for those 4 extra tracks?

cant seem to drag anything from the file list into the pane on the right-hand side..

the drag indicator doesnt appear at all

dragging a folder shows the indicator, but it wont drop

may be a wxWidgets 2.8 issue

Say I have this album ( http://musicbrainz.org/release/620fc2ec-6dc0-4d... ). After saving the tags to the files, there is no mention whatsoever about Tiesto.

No media player will be able to find the songs when searching 'tiesto'. How is it supposed to work?

I mean, he's the dj-mixer of the album, it *is* important.

Yes, musicbrainz knows about tiesto because of %albumartistid, but your system doesn't.

And, after all, we need to be able to find our music locally for us to be able to actually listen to it, don't we? :)

As things are now, QuodLibet/foobar/whatever won't be able to find these songs or tell me that Tiesto had anything to do with them.

For instance, my current thought is that after saving files in Picard I would open them in ExFalso and add an "albumartist" tag.

it saves them to TXXX frames, which is exactly what picard does

QL and EF adds a QuodLibet:: prefix before the tag names, that's why you can't read it

I'm kind of lost. I will try to look in the mailing list archives for messages talking about this.

currently, if you add tag "albumartist" in Quod Libet, it will be saved as TXXX with description "QuodLibet::albumartist"

but from picard it's TXXX with description "albumartist"

the new picard saves it to TPE2, which QL and many other players can read without problems
