it took 2 weeks, and then 4 hours to wire me to the network

DSL used to be very slow for me to get hookups, but Cable has been good about same day ones

the guy had to rip out and reinstall all the connectionage in the basement

DSL was normally hookup, then live 2-4 weeks later. Cable's always been within the hour.
