wikipedians are being stupid with musicbrainz links

when I tried to make links someone even tried to remove the template...

ugh

they try to remove the entire project too? :P

after that I stopped linking and now there are less and less artists with MB links

ok, may I ask why it was just summarily decided that the wikipage for the Parody Relationship Attribute wasn’t needed? Coping the link to wiki over to coverpage and leaving out any explaination of the attribute, just not called for.

about how long does it take for things to be voted in, and can you tag items in picard while it isn't a confirmed edit?

1) depends on the type of edit and the DQ setting of the release - 3 to 14 days depending. 2) Yes you can tag new releases, but for other edits you will have to wait for edits to pass to be able to tag to the new data.

what are dq settings?

well two of the items are new releases but i don't see the add this tag button

so, could someone explain to me how to add a tag of a new release that has yet to be accepted?

i think there is a problem that several things is called "tagging" eg folksonomy, metatags, invisiblefalg etc

A collaboration such as this "George Clinton & Bootsy Collins" on a song called "Commercials" on a compilation, could be given as "Commercials (feat. Bootsy Collins)" by George Clinton, right?

OK, I got that impression here earlier when adding a hiphop-release with a zillion collaborations.

It is the same with this album, there will be a lot of new artists that are just "artist 1 & artist 2"

I think all this George Clinton Family Series will take A LOT of effort then to add then. The ones that are already in doesn't look allright either.

If I merge an artist with a birth date into one without, will the info be discarded?

I think so, but I'm not sure

yes, the old artist info is discarded. merge only moves all releases/tracks/etc.

they usually released as "The Brothers Ali" but that's not in the db either
