I have about 8000 and about 20 edited artists a day
I stopped subscribing to artists though
MClemo
ok, so you go through the mail and check some artist edits there?
but you never can go through all edits
nikki
I go through and see if any of the artists I care about have been changed
most of them I ignore
(applied edits, I mean)
otherwise I just the open edits for your subscribed artists thingy
+use
mudcrow
about 90% of the edits on my subscribed are by me, I get very few other peoples edits per day. average 5-10

My subscriptions are pretty quiet as well, when I'm not working on them myself.

Freso is lost in Menu API's wildcards...
I have a menu item "module/%content_type/%content_id/%operation" - should those "%foo" be "%" instead? How do I validate/run checks on the wildcards? How do I change 'page callback' depending on the request?
Freso can't figure this out from the docs
Eh.
Wrong channel.

Now grooving to: Queen ~ Sleeping on the Sidewalk (3:07) (from News of the World) (1977)
petros: if you do, try to set the data quality low and definitely make note of it in the annotation.
petros: i'm generally in favour of adding releases as early as possible, many other people frown on it, some may even vote no.
petros
Oh, _I_ havent done it. I just wanted to know how to handle it in the best way possible instead of voting it down 'because of slightly sloppy research from the submitter.
nikki
I don't agree with as early as possible, too early and there's a decent risk of huge changes or it not even being released at all
warp
with 'as early as possible' i do mean the release should exist, e.g. in the form of a promo. no point in adding stuff to mb which does not exist.
nikki
but I'd definitely say voting something down the day before because it's not yet released would be really silly
outsidecontext
nikki: yes, as early as possible might be to early :) but before the release can be very helpfull
petros
Seeing as I've pre-ordered the release there's little change it will go uncorrected in this case, so the discussion is mostly academic ;)
warp
if it turns out the actual release differs significantly from the promo, you can just change the entry in mb to 'promo', etc...
petros
This ain't no promo. This is a releases added based on a - slightly differentiated - tracklisting and pending release date.
But they use flash. Flash is way more evil. Flash is like listening to Britney Spears-songs sung by Darth vader
cooperaa
petros: Why is that? Flash doesn't sound sexy?
warp
hm Britney
warp queues Britney Spears
cooperaa resists the urge (to look at her album art)
petros
cooperaa: Believe me. You don't want me to paint you a picture about _how_ unsexy I think Flash is.
cooperaa
:)
petros
flashmenot would be awesome .. Unless you're at the Playboy Masnsion
in which case bugmenot would be replace by bugmeplease

MClemo
is it ok now to add ARs to the release level if the booklet doesn't tell you exactly on what tracks someone performed? How did that discussion turn out?
cooperaa
MClemo: I may be biased, but I'm pretty sure that's how things turned out
cooperaa: it has to be a top level wikipage, you just do like MClemo described, [PageName]
FauxFaux2 is now known as BrianFreud
BrianFreud
hmmm, why it reverted to FauxFaux2, no clue :P
cooperaa
heh
petros
cooperaa: Via MClemo I've just been notified of an edit of mine about "Foxy Lady" vs. "Foxey Lady", where I see that at the same time you added the annotation at Jimi Hendrix, you reverted to the misspelled title on the album? Why is that?
cooperaa
um
petros
I thought we tried to eliminate such misspellings.
you nedd edit number?
cooperaa
yes, we're trying to be consistent with the original version
