should I be pulling from subversion instead?

the errors I'm seeing include: "Error: Cannot read TOC from '/dev/rdisk1'

yeah, it might be worth trying the svn version

(if I just run ./cdlookup with no arguments), or "Error: Cannot open '/dev/disk2'

if I do ./cdlookup /dev/disk2

how far behind is the 3.0.1 release from what's in svn?

My system totally foobared... dead cmos battery, 2 drives down, shorts on the mb... had to rip it clean apart, clean every jumper, etc, before it would work... then windows was hashed. Now burning ubuntu, tired of dealing with Windows thinking it has config changes :(

yeah, I just cannot get the os to be stable. So it's either reinstall Windows, or make the jump

xp sp3 = poop for me

i use waay to many windows specifc apps to move to linux

me too, but I figure if I have to reinstall anyhow, I'll try to dual install 2003 and Ubuntu, and slowly get myself migrated from all Windows to at least 90% Linux

run windows in a VM rather than dual boot

a lot of benefits to that

i don't miss any window app

chillware: I have absolutely no linux experience. I would prefer to do that, though, rather than dual and have to reboot to switch.

Would I need to make an image, or how would I config Ubuntu to allow a Windows VM?
