Thanks. :) I've been playing with it for the last 30 minutes, and have correctly tagged a few thousand files, but didn't notice the "rename files" feature until now. How do I get it to move the files I've already saved as correct? Clicking "save" on 'em again does nothing.

aCiD2: well, checking that you're in the right place makes enough sense :P

Tanaric: it should do, you might need Move Files checked as well

if that definitely doesn't work, try closing picard and opening it again and reimporting your files (it would automatically reload them)

aCiD2: Ah, thanks, that pointed me in the right direction. It was nesting the new (renamed) directories within the (sometimes incorrect) artist/album subdirectories already there. Enabling "Move Files" and giving it an absolute root path fixed it
