basically what doesnt work in 10.4 is the cd lookup routine

i don't really care about puids, so i can forgo that, but cdlookups is something i miss

and I didn't use the 10.4 Developer SDK to build it, I used the 10.5

oh, PUID lookup is highest on my list of priorities.

the issue is that my girlfriend's laptop is single-core 1.5Ghz with only 1.5Gb ram... it really took a long time to build all the dependencies

I have sent away my PC (which I want to run OS X on) and when I get it back... I will have a very well-endowed build system

I might even want to build nightly universal .app bundles for testing, who knows. I just want to help and give back to the community

You actually don't need 10.4 to build 10.4 applications... but in my case, all of the binary bits that Picard relies on to run have been built 10.5 only (and not universal)

and most of the builds I've tried won't even run on 10.4 for various reasons
