It's a pity I couldn't have managed to get it all together last week as I wanted to let mo know I was going to Norway for a couple of days

To a small town called Notodden - south of Oslo, but still covered in snow. Stayed with Norwegian friends, some came over from England, some from Ireland and Germany. All friends who had met at the music festival we attend in Ireland each year. Great weekend.

Q for all... (then I head to bed :P) Does anyone ever use track parser for non-in-order tracks? ie, instead of track 1, 2, 3, 4, parsing track 1, 3, 2, 4, or track 1, 3, 4 ?

i can pretty much answer NO to that. and i dont see a use fr it

if the tracks are out of order in whatever it is you [at e] going to parse, thne well,, something is wrong

well, it's a question of, if given input "1. foo", do I just pull out "foo" and throw away the "1", or do I actually try to fill tracks based on the "1" (the first is a lot easier)

Is that in purpose to open the opendialog of add directory in the further chosen dir instead of the dir above where I "normally" want to choose the next dir to scan?

i don't think its intentional but the same thing happens here

libtunepimp-0.5.3. doesn't want to compile with libmusicbrainz-3.0.2

So is there anywhere a bugtracker to write a bug on that, RifRaf?

I made the libmusicbrainz.so but no help

Yeah, that's ok, but does the configure script you execute really search in /usr/lib64 for libs?

mb_GetVersion just seems this isn't in the the lib

ah looks like libtune is just to old for musicbrainz-3

libtunepimp is pretty old and not really used or developed now afaik

I can never remember what the different libs do/did but I think libmusicbrainz3 uses the xml webservice whereas libtunepimp uses the rdf one or something along those lines

whats used now with musicbrainz-3?

I'm not entirely sure, I guess it depends what you're trying to do. if a program depends on libtunepimp then there's nothing you can really do about it

oneforall: btw, manually adding symlinks to .so files is usually the wrong way to solve problems

installers of the libs will normally know more about their compatiblity than you and only add the links that are compatible
