you can still use the site without paying. except the radio streams, if you _want_ those, sure, you have to pay for it. it's not like it's cheap to stream music for free to all of the internets. it's only fair that you pay for it.

I know norway's not in the EU, so this wouldn't apply, but I'm surprised that they can legally give it free to DE and UK, but not other EU countries

warp: the main issue is how this service has been "taken away" from other people, not so much enforcing this. Many other products do this, Spotify included.

Reasons are often nice when accompanied with opinion heh.

last.fm is a bit bloated, I rarely visit it nowadays. I do like the 'events' stuff and use that occassionally.

acid2: that's pretty much what you've got if you're not in the US, UK or Germany.

although it was already partly integrated with last.fm at that point.
