how do I read the DiscID from the audio cd?

there is no discid yet

you have to submit it first

mick_laptop: You don’t need to fill out the info, just do "submit track names" from the disc menu

That should take you to the right web page where you can now search for the release and find it, since you added it now.

mick_laptop, from my side (database): I apparently have found that the album is performed by "Don Campbell". Can you confirm? And if you can, what did he play, piano? :)

The Childrens Group has no releases which have 8 tracks.

Search under Mozart

With the title The Mozart Effect, Volume 1: Tune Up Your Mind (The Childrens Group)

have you searched Mozart? look at that list... ಠ_ಠ

And using direct search if given the option

That's why I say to try to use the title :)

Makes the right one show up ;)

you type in “The Mozart Effect: Music for Children, Volume 1: Tune Up Your Mind” (or just “the mozart effect”) into the Search by release field which you have.

and yeah, you get one option if you fill in the full name or 3 if you do just "the mozart effect"

You should get “There are currently no discs in MusicBrainz associated with the information you provided. You can search for the disc you are looking for using the forms below, or you may add a new release to MusicBrainz”

and then a couple of places to fill information in.

You mentioned getting redirected though, that shouldn’t happen.

You will get the composer tags filled

(if the tagger allows it and you want them ;) )

well libdiscid has some example program which fetches the id and prints out the url to open

You can use sound juicer to start the submit process…just after you do a search, if you don't find anything choose "add a new release" instead of attaching a TOC to an existing release.

then you don’t need to go through two stages.

I'd just remove it for add release.

That's another option I guess

if you want to add a release to a release group, go to the release group page first.
