Specifically: http://musicbrainz.org/release/b4e87df5-e995-44... -- the fact that the vendor calls it remastered is probably good cause to give the tracks their own recording, in this case (I don't know much of the remastering background of this album).

do I need to go and create "works" under the names of the various composers? Is the composer, the arranger, or the lyricist the person to whom the work should be credited?

iirc before NGS this was all possible to do with ARs on the tracks

you'll have to create a work for each song, link it to the appropriate recording, then add the 'composer' and 'lyricist' ars to the appropriate works.

works do not have a primary 'artist credit', only ARs.
