dubkat: that only is present if you've recently opened a link via picard

i just noticed that

you can get it back by sticking "?tport=8000" on the end of almost any musicbrainz url.

that '8000' number might vary depending on what else is running when you start picard, so it's usually better to open a link via picard.

i have an open edit from a totally hosed entry i put in, if anyone wants to help expidite it (if the changes are acceptable)

i canceled a previous edit, and then just redid the album all over again

now you have to go and /merge/ all of the old recordings into the new ones.

deleting is just as hard as merging, and merging is generally a better idea.

go to the page for one, click 'merge' in the right column.

go to the page for the other, click 'merge'

then a merge screen will show up.

you have to go to the other one and click merge there

once you've selected at least two things for merge, it'll show you the merge screen.

you're not merging albums, you're merging recordings.

on the recording page, click 'merge recording'

then go to http://musicbrainz.org/edit/15428360 and click the first track, you'll be sent to http://musicbrainz.org/recording/4298d23c-f38c-...

click 'merge recording' there.

to edit the /recording/ title, you have to click on the track to get to the recording page, then click edit on the recording page.

(we know this is annoying, and it's a work in progress to improve it)

hmm. selecting all 15k recordings I had loaded in picard and hitting 'save' is causing it to hang and use 100% cpu.

wee, the power of NGS has finally shown itself: The two versions of the release http://musicbrainz.org/release-group/5549fca6-6... each have different disc ids, correctly associated with the particular version they are from ;)

aw, man; loading that disc into my drive to add the disk id cause the picard which was busy doing stuff to stop doing stuff. Now I'm going to have to select everything and hit save again :(

lately I've been using the isrc-submitting scripts for adding discids

one of them has a thing that says "add the discid here!" which is very convenient :P

but I forgot to do that on this one, so I had to re-insert the cd and add it via picard :)

huh. the acoustid-fingerprinter program /does/ appear to make use of multi-core cpus.

it's hittin ~250% cpu usage.

spent like 40min adding all the data :(

also note the time, they can possibly find more information from the server logs

sometimes you can hit back to get back to the release editor, and copy the contents from the basic tracklist editor

then you can paste that when you retry adding the release, and save yourself a little work.

when i go back i get track listing but if i click on any other tab it gives me same error as above
