reosarevok, it won't help. i listened all the soundtrack and couldn't find my answer
someone knows classical music well may help me
reosarevok, do you listen classical music?
reosarevok
Well, if you make the question, maybe someone will see it and answer :)
(someone who knows enough about it)

How can I put this up for deletion? It turns out for traditional songs these linear notes are adding performers and arrangers to songwriters - e.g. (Traditional/The Spinners) http://musicbrainz.org/work/b9fe3954-6fe4-4942-...
I suppose I could remove all the relationships I added...
Or merge. That would work
reosarevok
Cook879: you can cancel the edits
(all of them)
That would mean the works would become empty
And be autoremoved later on
Cook879
Ok, thanks :)

Pah, some of my files has too long names for ecryptfs

Anyone know of a way to make the Linux build of Picard use NFD normalisation when writing files?
nikki
filenames only, or also the tags?
Munger
Just filenames. It looks like Picard already writes iTunes tags as NFD
I suppose it would be nice if all the tags were done as well
nikki
ah. well, as far as I know, picard just writes whatever the variables contain, so I would just make a plugin to convert the tags to nfd
I do have a plugin somewhere that converts stuff to nfd and back to nfc, so I guess I could easily modify it
(the hard part is finding it :P)
Munger
Is there noway ofdoing that in the file naming script/
nikki
not that I know of, well, I suppose a plugin to add a to_nfd function would be one way
Munger
I'm trying Picard on Linux, but the Mac can't read it's files :-/
nikki
aha
nikki will see what she can do
the aha was because I found the file
Munger
Ah thanks.
brb. I suppose I ought to go and put someclothes on

Munger: I haven't tested with file naming (since I'm on a mac and it thinks it knows better than me how my characters should be normalised :P), only with the scripting section, but https://raw.github.com/96187/picard-plugins/mas... should make it possible to just put $nfd() around whatever you want to be in nfd
Munger
Oooh! Thank you :-)
Spectacular! It works! Thank you again :-)
nikki
yay :D

Is it me, or has the relationship editor submitting process become muuuuch slower lately?
(a.k.a., does it stay in "Loading" after you press enter edits for a LONG time)
rochusw
hmm, how many relations? it took just 3 seconds when i had just a few
reosarevok
33 tracks worth of "performed piano"
But it seems it's kinda random
Sometimes it's almost instant
Others it's like "waaaaaaaaaait"
And there isn't a clear difference in number of entered edits that explains it

[16:41] nikkibut since I don't actually tag my files that way, I'm not sure what people actually want to have
well i can tellyou what *i'd* want
I'd want the filenames in latin/translated/iterated. the tags all in the original.
then i'd like the transliterated (NOT translated) tracktitle in the comment
i also like transliteration back from english to be literal . eg "do-rin-ku not "drink"

argh, i hate it when a cover lists some tracks in a wrong order
the tracks are in a different order on the cd as on the cover and in the booklet
i have this cd and listened to the tracks, track 2 sounds more like clannad and i didn't find the music in ommadawn part 1 or part 2 ( i have that cd, too)
mariobrainz
ok
you think the cover and the booklet have a wrong order?
