-
night199uk
Jozo: i'm trying with ff and chrome 25
-
chrome 25 i can't even get tamper monkey to work or install the script
-
and ff no button
-
used to work great for me in ff
-
no worries
-
this is the easiest way to import a discogs release right?
-
i've got a pile of releases to import and i really don't want to sit and do them all the laborious way :-(

night199uk: if I set javascript console to shown it works. So it still timing issue.

Jozo
reoafk: what version you're using?
-
(script)

Unsure

The version I pushed works fine for me.
-
Not sure if murdos' done more on it since.
-
Nope. Looks like master's "my" version.
-
reoafk
Meh, I see I still can't get an easy link to the source file

-
Freso
Jozo: As I said. :)
-
Jozo
Freso: I'm slow :)
-
Freso
That's the version I run, which works fine for me.

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0

difficult to debug if it works when javascript console is on... and not work when its off
-
"Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'ajax' of undefined"
-
same error as past.
-
Too difficult for me when I do not understand JavaScript or those damn scripts.
-
night199uk
yer
-
i know basic javascript
-
but i don't want to sit down and learn how those scripts are built
-
Jozo
my guess it that replacing jsquery fails somehow... may be related to loading order
-
Freso: Do you know why jsquery needs replaced?
-
nikki
ah, in opera it just uses discogs's jquery and I guess reo's is the one where I embedded jquery in the file
-
reoafk
That'd be it, yes, heh
-
Freso
Jozo: I don't know why it needs to pull in jQuery on its own, no.
-
Jozo: I just know it didn't work at all for me before, when it was using http://.
-
kloeri: Btw, now that I have the slides for a lightning talk, if you want me to re-do it at a Wednesday meeting or something, just let me know. :)

awesome, fixed
-
Jozo
night199uk: url your fixed version? :)
-
reoafk
Freso: how was the talk?
-
night199uk
-
its a problem with the @require in greasemonkey
-
so unsafeWindow.jQuery doesn't end up getting set or isn't set when the script is called
-
-
:-)
-
hrm, not perfect yet tho
-
Freso
reoafk: I think it went pretty well.
-
reoafk: And I was told it went pretty well too.
-
reoafk: So I think it went pretty well.
-
reoafk
heh
-
nice
-
Freso
Yeah.
-
reoafk
Should we expect a lot of data nerds adding Danish music now? :D
-
Freso
I skipped out shortly afterwards though, so I didn't get to mingle/network a whole lot.
-
But I need to get some air, and when I got outside... I got so tired.

reoafk: But at least one person was actively asking about how he could use the power of MB to properly tag his files.
-
reoafk: So I think at least Picard is getting one more user. :p
-
But my primary aim was really just to increase the awareness that MusicBrainz is a thing, and an awesome thing at that.
-
reoafk
heh
-
Freso
Too many people at the conference were like "wut's musicbrains"?
-
*?"
-
So hopefully next year it'll be a bit fewer people being like that.
-
:)
-
CallerNo6
that was true at sfmt six months ago, and seemed to improve quite a bit in that time
-
(with the people I talked to, anyway)
-
Freso
Yeah.
-
Yeah. :)
-
CallerNo6
(and not because I talked to the same people :-) )
-
Freso
;)
-
I think I was filmed.
-
Not sure if/when/where it'll be put up though.
-
night199uk
Jozo: try this one
-
Jozo: fixed
-
-
otherwise it broke the value of $ which then broke jQuery on the MB pages
-
Now we don't modify $ at all
-
I'm no guru but this might be better and should fix the complaints listed on the discussion page I hope
-
works here
-
apparently @require can be flaky and sometimes doesn't retrieve the script in which case greasemonkey won't work
-
which explains why it works for some users and not others
-
this avoids that by loading jquery directly
-
Jozo
night199uk: copy&pasted your edits to github. What I tested it seems to work
-
night199uk: Thanks :)
-
night199uk
I just added a full release with it so I think it works great
-
no time today but i will play more tomorrow night and i can always open a PR on github

reoafk: Edit? Ive my added this
-
reoafk
Jozo: no, I mean for the release I'm adding now
-
(trying to choose what label to use)
-
ListMyCDs
hmm. label should be SibaRecords for this
-
reoafk
But it's from 1996...
-
-
So if SibaRecords is from 2009...
-
ListMyCDs
oh
-
Better then to use Sibelius Academy for it

Ok :)

Mineo: commenting! :p
-
Mineo: nothing explicit, most common use is to mark booklet pages
-
Well, that, or entering wrong stuff :p
-
Mineo
well, intgrs bot is adding covers from allcdcovers with a comment of 'allcdcovers'
-
I don't think that's particularly useful
-
reoafk
huh
-
Yeah, that sounds like it should be on the edit note, not the comment..
-
ListMyCDs
there's no need for that to be on comment, now it's more like advertising
-

yeah, that's what I thought
