I need some advice

There's this editor I've been monitoring for months who does things his own way and has made a mess for others to clean up

He's heeded some advice but continues to flout some others

He even told me in an edit that he's stop doing a certain behavior and yet I just caught him doing it again, not once, but repeatedly

Should I wait longer to report?

why do all the conflicts you get involved with have this framework of "I am catching the lawbreakers trying to break the law" ?

there is no law, and you are not the police. we're a collective, collaborating in good faith.

you regularly use language like "caught him" which assumes bad faith

if what they are doing is unambiguously violating a law clear enough to police, it should be easy to get other people to re-enforce your point socially

what's the appropriate AR for linking a recording to a later version (with slightly adjusted/rerecorded tracks)? "later version" seemed right but is deprecated, and "edit" feels like it implies a length change

hmm. no. not sure if fb2k has an api to allow a script to read them, so might have to be a fb2k plugin to be able to do that

somehow, i managed to convince my OCPD that my music library is not correctly organised unless every single artist and release is tagged as it is in MB

which is great for musicbrainz, awful for my mental health :P
