MBS-3435: Improve the 'vote on all edits' feature, and expose it to all users

"Hey desk reo, how do I input the labels for this CD?"

I thought that was IRC
CatQuest
.. desk reo?
is he gruffy?
Leftmost
IRC is sort of like that, but then I have to take pictures and hope you're awake. :-P
Freso
reosarevok CatQuest: Seems like the edits are indeed open for a bit longer. :'(
CatQuest
yes
that thing is one of my less favourite changes
I feel if you can find 3 or atleast more voters, th tiem shoudl be shortened
doesn't matter if 12 people vote yes on it, it stays open for 48 hours no matter what
makes sense on osme edits, liek remove release
but things like remove relationships which can easily be readded.. ugh
Freso
reosarevok: Yeah, I think that ticket is a Won't Fix and should be for reporting editors instead. Should I just close it, or bring it up next meeting?
reosarevok
IMO just close
CatQuest
can't you guys force revertifications already? (qaccount admins)
Freso
CatQuest: Yes, kind of, but this ticket is for any auto-editor to do so.
CatQuest
hmm.. nah that's not necesarry and seems odd to me
since we have acount admins
so +1 just lcose from me too

hey, has discogs opened up their db or are they just releasing partial dumps?
Freso
azertus: Discogs' DB dumps have been open for some time.
reosarevok: D: Label-Artist "founded" only works one way!!
Freso has an orchestra founded by a "label"
azertus
yeah, I've been out-of-the loop for quite a bit
and it's all open now?
CatQuest
ohhh
reosarevok
Freso: well, ticket
CatQuest
heh
reosarevok
azertus: wasn't it always?
CatQuest was writing "/me siggests freos write a ticket"
CatQuest

azertus
(don't worry I won't suddenly become a discogs contributor) ;-)
reosarevok
Maybe not. AFAICT, it is fully open, except maybe the images?
CatQuest
also freso
azertus
I feel like I'm going crazy.. as far as I remember it used to all copyrighted, which was a huge reason not to contribute too much to it.
Freso
The db dumps are fully open, but site source, etc. is not.
So if Discogs disappears, it isn't possible to set up a ~1:1 "clone".
So the data is open, but Discogs as a whole is not.
azertus
got it.. I couldn't find the dumps linked on their site as well (without googling for them)
still better than nothing
I always felt a bit dirty for having added 8 releases there instead of here
CatQuest
ARG, wnhe I paste "Paris, France" in the area choser it should *understand* which paris I am talking about and not show me some village from arkansas
onestly,I think we should *remove* all these american villages with less than idk, 2000 people or what it is *unless* ofcourse there was something musical happening. in any case of that it cna be re-added
I'm like certain that 97% of stuff added to thme is missatribution also
can someone just give me the mb url for the right paris because I don't even
And that would be awesome to have a relationship browser for areas and instruments at least.

I would be hella interested in a "visualisation" like thing for instrument relations like that thing Quesito linked

yvanzo: weighting sounds useful anyway, but it's still not very useful when you're looking at that search result from earlier and trying to figure out which is which of the non-France ones

I found https://runalyze.com/ and the only way to create more data is to do sports :/
