I've been using Chrome for some years. Form restore seems good on accidental closure

chaban ctrl-shift-<reload> doesn't clear the form?
I've definitely had much more negative effect from clearing by default than not clearing by default, like losing long comments typed into a web form.

i think there's been some problems on some mbz forms where firefox's form restore causes some controls to be out of sync with what the javascript thinks the state of the form is, but i in general like it.

darwin: It does (as described in the ticket) but the issue is that there seems no way for the user to easily disable that behavior entirely.
This "feature" seems to be completely detached from cache and formfill. I get that it's nice to have but remember that edit note fields are hidden by default in listings.

In what situations did you lose form input? Page reload or history navigation?
After a quick test Chrome preserves form input on history navigation. That's nice.

Maybe it's time to say goodbye forever to Firefox. It's the small things that can make the difference. I still loathe Chromium's lack of customizability but at least they do most things right IMO.
BTW, I've probably lost more comments due to the delete button provided by https://github.com/jesus2099/konami-command/blo... than due to accidental page reloads. Not even Firefox can restore the text once you click it. lol
