I have a question about medleys. I am entering a band that plays a live medley of three covers of songs from other bands. How do I enter that? An AR between work <-> recording, which I would normally use for covers, gives me the option for a medley, but I lose the live and cover attributes. So what else can I do? Should I create a new work and then have work <-> work ARs indicating the work is a medley? Or something else?

the best thing to do would be to propose adding the same attributes to the medley relationship :P

or removing the stupid cover attribute. ;-)

(there was a proposal to merge the two relationships, but it got stuck because it's hard to get the wording to work correctly if you do that)

(and I'm still not convinced merging them is the right thing to do anyway :P)

but I can't see why anyone could be against just making the two have the same attributes

so there's been a lot of things where it doesn't get any and then suddenly gets 3 :/
