anyone available to help me with a new install?

I got it running, but when I try to localhost:5000, it throws this error "Validation failed for 'MusicBrainz::Server::Database' with value undef at constructor MusicBrainz::Server::Connector::new "

ah, so the cron update will do the READWRITE. ok, that explains how the updates come. thanks to you both!

pbjr: If the replication type is RT_SLAVE, InitDb and the cron jobs need READWRITE defined and the server itself needs READONLY

demosdemon: thanks. it is a slave. how do I check InitDB? I haven't setup the cron job yet, thats my next task

pbjr: InitDb is part of the setup process. Checkout INSTALL.md, it has the relevant info about that

I just took out my contacts, so I won't be of much use anymore, but if you join #musicbrainz-devel someone in there might be paying attention (and maybe even awake too! ha) and able to help

tried the net, but couldn't find anything on:

that and more occurs when i attempt to access localhost:5000

am i missing some credentials or something to the db?

i can attach to the musicbrainz_db and list tables, etc...

i saw some articles discussing a similar issue where the test db was missing or something to that effect, i am operating in slave mode, and can run a sync, so that seems ok

I had my SLAVE as READWRITE

Bleh. I added producer and executive producer to tracks, and then noticed they should be added to releases. However, the producer etc is different on some tracks of the release. What is the best way forward? Cancel all the relationship edits? Is there a way to add producer to a release and use "Except for"?

Peepo_UK: producer makes perfect sense for recordings

executive producer does not

(so, I'd say cancel the exec prod edits and add it at release level, but leave the rest where they are)
