hi all. Quick question: I'm tagging files with Picard and there is one album that Picard only shows one version and songs doesn't match with my files. in the musicbrainz website there are five different versions of that album, some of them matching my files correctly. What can I do for making Picard showing all the versions?

MaDMaLKaV, go to the page for the right version
And then add &tport=8000 to the end of the URL and press enter
(I think that was it)
You should get the green "Tagger" button then
Well, if you get it already, just press it!
MaDMaLKaV
Error message: '928cf314-07eb-4149-90ed-30640f61768b&tport=8000' is not a valid MusicBrainz ID
reosarevok
Hmm
Maybe that wasn't it then
Well, apparently you can also drag the release page and drop it in Picard
And if that doesn't work, just make a lookup first from Picard (the lower right corner lookup button)
and refresh the page
If *nothing* of all that works, we have a problem :p
MaDMaLKaV
yeah, the tagger button shows ok when I make the search from picard instead fom web. thanks dude !
reosarevok
np :)
Mineo
the correct addition would have been "?tport=8000"
reosarevok
Oh

awesome error: "Requested 'libvala-0.16 >= 0.15.1.' but version of Vala is 0.15.1"
kepstin deletes the extra period from the end of a line
Mineo
heh, you haven't seen mercurial error messages then
Mineo once had to fight an "everything ok" error
kepstin
i avoid mercurial errors by not using mercurial :)
kepstin, how does libgda look to you? I'm always frustrated by the applications it installs with .desktop names that don't conform to GNOME guidelines and icons that look fecking awful.
kepstin
Leftmost: well, I'm not using any of its gui stuff.
i'm using it as a database abstraction layer
which it appears to do a decent job of
Leftmost
I know. However, its GUI stuff sullies my opinion.
kepstin
(admittedly, it does have some decent gtk integration helpers, like dynamic stores for list objects and things)
in particular, 'TIPL:producer' is the id3v2.3/2.4 tag used.
ianmcorvidae
producer AR, gets written to TIPL:producer, PRODUCER, Producer, or ----:com.apple.iTunes:PRODUCER or WM/Producer
htrejh
thanks, i was on the page but i missed it...
is it an official tag?
kepstin
from the id3 spec, TIPL: The 'Involved people list' is very similar to the musician credits list, but maps between functions, like producer, and names.
hmm, this libgda bindings still need some work, they neglect to list some of the required dependencies in a .deps file, so I have to add them manually for now.
ianmcorvidae
well, they are unreleased :P
kepstin
there is that :)
yey, it compiles.
now to make it do stuff.
ianmcorvidae
:D
ianmcorvidae will enjoy having riker's DB running right next to MB's DB :)
heh, I wonder if there could be re-use there
that would be amusing
probably it would have to be a bunch of views/CREATE RULE to make them updatable
