Freso: ah, it looks like it's fetching the en link from the de page rather than just using the en link directly
LordSputnik: not sure what it means by "Noneing albums" either
LordSputnik
nikki: oh, it sets all the albums in the list of processed albums to None every pass, so that songs don't get tagged again
(it does one pass for every thousand songs in your library, to save memory)

what's the difference between audio engineer and sound engineer?
Freso
nikki: I never used your wikipedia script.
nikki: And I'm seeing it on beta, I just have a habit of removing the beta. :|

Freso
nikki: But that makes sense. I guess the .de WP should be fixed then. (But, also our code.)

Anyone familiar with Crazy Frog? In this booklet, "Jinglebell" has "(Reinhard Reith/Henning Reith/Wolfgang Boss)" for its credits, but it's clearly the "traditional" Jingle Bells they've covered.
Should I create a new "Crazy Frog" work, or should I just make a cover recording AR to the existing work?

also あ is "a" anything that starts with あ is thne that
か is ka
so kakaro and kari and knami etc
kanami*
xsteadfastx
i add a johnny cash compilation here...and two tracks say "with june carter cash"
CatCat
the japanese alias can have sortname
xsteadfastx
how should i do it correctly?
CatCat
xsteadfastx: use artist credits
reosarevok
Yeah, you just use two artists for that specific track artist
xsteadfastx
with a "&" as join phrase?
reosarevok
I'd just use "with"
If that's what it says...
xsteadfastx
on the cd its "with"
so i use it
reosarevok
Yep :)
xsteadfastx
its so good that i can ask here...that makes everything better
some tracks are live but they are not labelled as live on the tracklist...should i add a (live) behind the tracks?
LordSputnik
i'd say no, but add a "live" disambiguation to the recordings
reosarevok
Yeah
LordSputnik
and then link them as a live recording of some work
reosarevok
What he said :)
LordSputnik
reosarevok: not going to capitalize it? :P
reosarevok

LordSputnik

nikki: D: reading binary files in python is horrible
nikki: but I've managed to possibly do enough of it to embed cover art
nikki: so that'll probably be something to try out in the next test :)
jesus2099: I think it’s just for consistency and a short join phrase. It’s definitely not for CSG (But CSG is official now)
nikki
jesus2099: it's a compromise between people who wanted to keep the old behaviour and people who want the artists in the artist credits. by standardising the spelling of "feat." it lets people automatically move it back to the title if the ywant
jesus2099: It's also normalized for the fact that many relases with featured artists are inconsistent with the crediting of the featured artist within the same release as well (cover, back cover, medium, booklet)

given the text "(c) 2012 Oceanic Music Ltd in association with EMI label services", should I add both?
neither of the "oceanic records" int he database seem to be the right one
