Anyone interested in a brief discussion of audiobook style? The conversation seems effectively dead and I'd at least like to get some guidelines for a couple I'd like to enter.

i'm new to the conversation, but should an audiobook really be part of mb? (i'm sure that's been mentioned before.)
Leftmost
I believe it's been discussed, and for now the answer is "Yes".
knitus
i guess it just depends how broad MB needs to be. i don't know if mb does it already, but seems like that would include speeches, news reports, radio shows, etc..

Well, part of the argument for audiobooks I think is that they're released in a manner similar to music, and on similar media. Not that that makes them part of the intended scope, but it does mean that they also can be ripped and need tagging and so, for convenience's sake, they're included.
knitus
and you can't really say "just anything with an ISAN number" because that would eliminate bootlegs.
well it would be convenient to add movies too ;)
sorry, devil's advocate

Anyhow, this isn't intended to be a discussion of how appropriate they are. The database already allows for them. I just want to figure out how to enter them.
knitus
oh, i didn't know it allowed them
....and i can't really help with naming, so i'll step out of the convo :)
it's the text 'Wikipedia' in the little attribution thing below the text.

oh I see
I figured that'd be a link to the main wiki page.
kepstin
yeah, well :)
kepstin needs to figure out a way to present url relations in general.
hmm. I wonder if I should try to include a 'nominal' tracklist on the release group page.
kepstin needs a 'no cover art' image, as well :)
while I'm at it, I should support using localized aliases and localized wikipedia pages where available...
and fix the issue where it only loads the first 100 release groups for an artist :)
or maybe just make my release page not suck.
hmm. deals poorly with the case of an entity having multiple wikipedia page links
just picks one at random

kepstin has 2 more files to upload to https://musicbrainz.org/release/f43a4aa1-71ac-4b7d-bf44-799319282087/cover-art but archive.org just isn't taking them.
Hi, I want to merge two releases into a new one without deleting the old releases. Basically I want to add a set with Release1+Release2 that isn't in MB and both individual releases are in MB. What is the best way to do that?

Axio`: on the tracklist tab, click "Add Disc", and you can there search for existing releases and chose a disc to copy into the new release.
