it does, at the top, but i can only guess when there are more than 500

counting the amount of open edits takes too long otherwise

so the first step was making it more obvious that there are pending edits

(people seemed oblivious to the highlighting in mason at least)

(if I remember correctly, you use foo_musicbrainz for tagging)
