so once works are merged into the original name, and the performer is still listed as the composer, aren't we losing performer info?

ie, Nocturne No. 3 in B major "Murmures de la Seine 3", Op. 9 No. 3 (piano: Krzysztof Jablonski) becomes Nocturne in B Major, Op. 9 No. 3: Allegretto, and perfomer is listed as Frederic Chopin, what happens to Krzystof Jablonski?

That's while trying to add a track list for a new release.

It doesn't seem to be saving what I enter in the tracklist box when I press "next".

The "preview" pane shows correct details before I hit next, but it resets the track list to the default listing of "<TRACKNUM>. - <ARTIST> - <ARTIST>".

Aah. It expects "<tracknum>. - <tracktitle> - <trackartist>". Labels on that page could be really helpful.

__bartholomule: the release editor is finicky right now, i had problems with it that were solved by just restarting the process from scratch

the next/prev navigation in release editor can mess it up

I hit cancel and restarted each time after I noticed that it wasn't handling prev/next properly.

I get "A track name is required on track <N>." for all tracks when entering in details on a new release with both the basic and advanced tracklist editors.

I tried all combinations of the check boxes in the options area.

I was just typing up a bug report for it.

can't find freedb import in the new NGS-world, has this gone away?

blarney: you can import from the release editor (click 'add disc')

you can also select freedb in the search

and there'll be an import link on the right

I tried the freedb import as well. It added a second disc instead of setting the current track listing. After removing the original (empty) disc, the disc numbers were confused and it was displaying "Disc 0" in the preview pane. It also triggers the bug I'm in the process of reporting.

is it me or does everyone's login to MB keep timing out (on the NGS server)?
